Strategy
Training and strategy go together like white on rice and, in my opinion, should be taught as such. Whenever you see two player of comparable skill face off, the winner will generally be the one who has a better game play strategy. You can think of strategy as training for the mind, and in badminton, strategy is just as important as technical skill. Below you will find a number of different strategies divided into each type of play. While there are a few universal badminton strategies, most are game specific.
General Strategies - Here we will cover the few universal badminton strategies that all players should know and practice whenever they play.
Singles Strategies - Singles game play is generally characterized with longer points, slower play (relatively speaking of course), and a greater emphasis on deception.
Doubles Strategies - Doubles game play is a much faster game than singles and relies more on speed, power, and communication.
Mixed-Doubles Strategies - Mixed doubles game play can be tricky and depending on the particular style you and your partner are plaing, your strategy will need to be dynamic.
